Hello, my name is Marie, and I’m a Thai food addict. As I write this, I’m already tempted to fight traffic to get to my favorite spot. Here are my go-to Thai restaurants in Nashville.

😋 Degthai

Degthai nails every single dish, but I always come back for the street dumplings, crispy tofu, and OG shrimp pad thai. But the real standout for me is their Tiew Tom Yum Goong, a hot and sour soup that’s instantly one of the best dishes in town.

Talk about a packed menu! Bangkokville has tons of options, especially if you love seafood. I recommend the Pad Woonsen with shrimp or the beef salad — you can choose your spice level.

The Smiling Elephant is the only Thai restaurant in Nashville with a “curry schedule,” offering one curry per day, made with the freshest ingredients. You can’t go wrong with any of them.

My family loves Bluefin Sushi & Thai in Brentwood for its wide variety of Asian dishes. I usually get the Pad Woonsen, my sister goes for sushi, and my mom sticks with a classic veggie stir-fry. Plus, we almost always spot a country music star while we’re there.

😏 SS Gai

Move over, Southern fried chicken, SS Gai has ruined it for me. Henceforth, I must only have Thai-style fried chicken with crispy shallots, garlic, and a side of tamarind chili fish sauce.

Bit A Bit’s menu has it all, but the house special salmon panang curry is a must. Start with the cabbage salad, and prepare to end in heaven.

Family-owned since 1975, International Market was my go-to spot in high school, and I’m so glad it’s still around today. I recommend the lunch buffet, and for dinner, don’t miss the Spicy Impossible Dumplings. End with a Banana Egg Roll Split!
