🗳️ Tennessee Is About To Make History

Tennessee will make history in November by electing the state's first female governor after U.S. Sen. 🚌 Dangerous School Bus Stops

While shifting high school start times received broad support from MNPS families, bus stops had to move in some places to accommodate the change. One North Nashville middle schooler must now walk 15 minutes along a busy road without a sidewalk to reach her bus stop, while two elementary-aged children have to cross train tracks. Some families say if they’d known how drastically their bus stops would change, they would’ve voted against later high school start times. [Nashville Banner]

🏢 Nashville Lands Two New Directors

Nashville’s newly established Office of Entertainment now has an executive director: Sarah Childress, who formerly worked in leadership positions at Nashville PBS and the Nashville Film Festival. 🏘️ Housing Market Struggles

Nashville is the second hardest place to sell a home in the U.S., according to a recent Redfin analysis. Nashville had 129% more sellers than buyers in June. Yet, home values continue to rise. The median price for a single-family home in June was $537,000. [🔐 Nashville Business Journal]
