While the Nashville Farmers Market is open every day of the week, many neighborhoods have thriving weekly markets with live music, kid-friendly activities, food trucks, and lots of local vendors. Shopping at farmers markets is a great way to spend the day while supporting local businesses. Here’s a guide to our faves.

  • When: Tuesdays from 4-7 p.m.
  • Where: Sevier Park
  • Details: There’s always something going on here, from puppy playdates to story times for kids and live music. I’m looking forward to going to the Peach Fest on June 18!
  • When: Tuesdays from 4-7 p.m.
  • Where: 1105 Hadley Ave.
  • Details: This is across the street from the Old Hickory library branch and community garden. There’s frequently live music, and sometimes goats to pet!
  • When: Tuesdays from 3:30-6:30 p.m.
  • Where: 5th & Woodland Streets
  • Details: This one is on asphalt, so I recommend leaving dog friends at home in the summer, so their paws don’t get burned in the heat.
  • When: Wednesdays from 4-7 p.m.
  • Where: The Outfield on Chestnut Street
  • Details: This market right by the big guitar in Wedgewood-Houston has lots of vendors and food trucks, and frequent live performances.
